About our therapist – Emma Grey, MA, HG.Dip.P

About our therapist – Emma Grey, MA, HG.Dip.P Working from a wide understanding of psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic interventions, Emma Grey offers treatment for a range of issues. She has vast experience of working with men and women of all ages, as well as offering therapeutic interventions for children and couples. All matters are treated with the greatest respect and adhering to strict confidentiality boundaries, you can be assured that your concern will be met with empathy and understanding in a proactive manner.  Having worked closely with employers, courts and social/healthcare professionals for many years, Emma is familiar with common issues surrounding these referrals and is aware of the courage it can take for clients to make initial contact.

One value she upholds above all others is that clients must be fully involved with their own recovery and encourages her clients to be an active part of their sessions and their ‘out of session’ progress.  Working together, client and therapist can work quickly to resolve issues which once caused psychological distress.  Humour and honesty prevail throughout the sessions as well the use of technology and a learning library.

Holding a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and several diplomas in specialist areas such as Stress Management, Emma’s talents are not limited to the therapy room.  She also runs a training consultancy and lectures all over the UK to companies and organisations large and small.  Her specialist field is conflict management and behavioural safety and she has been the Keynote speaker at several events.  She also lectures to the NHS, Social Services, the Police, RAF and within Higher Education.

Prior to any treatment, Emma will hold a telephone consultation with you, to ensure there are no contra-indications to treatment. The first session, including a full consultation, can last 60-90 minutes. After this, subsequent sessions normally last 50-60 minutes. Although it is impossible to predict how many sessions you will need, be assured that we will always keep the number to the minimum necessary.  The initial session fee is £60, with all subsequent sessions costing £50.  In the unusual event that a 'double session' is required, this will be charged at £80.  If you work for the emergency services, it may be possible to access this therapy through your employer and ‘The Red Poppy Company’ charity.  Likewise, with the Armed Forces, please refer to SSAFA and PTSD Resolution charities

We also offer group sessions and classes which are very cost effective, please click here for further information.
